Just remembering some of my travels in Europe.  the is Strasborg, France.  What journey we had around the Country Roads of France. This was taken in the early morning before all the cafe's opened.

This is my newest shoulder purse. I printed the design on linen/cotton fabric.  It is lined, backside is upholstery fabric.  Perfect for cell phone, keys, cash, lipstick.

I'm sewing again, digging into my stash, fun stuff.

This past week I have been on a creative vacation, can't seem to get it together.  Christine is always painting--never seems to have have mental creative blocks.  You gotta love the dune buggy.. 

 This week has been busy.  Father's Day BBQtopping off with this delicious heath bar ice cream cake from Stone Cold (downtown Santa Cruz). 

Michelle and Jason's friend Lorenzo who has spent the last 5 years here at the University of California, Santa Cruz is heading to Bonn, Germany for his new position at the University in Bonn. Last get together before he leaves next Wednesday.  Dr Lorenzo we will miss you!  He will be traveling to his home in Italy to see family before he starts work.    Pictured --Michele, Michelle(my daughter), Dr. Lorenzo, Savhanna and Jessica.

I found out yesterday(Thursday) that I am the lucky winner of some art from Claire(artist and blogger I follow).  I am so excited can hardly wait to see what I get.  Check out her great art, just click on blogs I follow, Claire Barone.

Wing Ding competition in Santa Cruz.  There were prizes for indivdual, corporate and most original.  Michelle(my daughter) and Jason (soon to be son-in-law) entered this for the first time.  They worked to perfect their receipe.  Looks really yummy!

I took this picture inside the Wieliczka Salt Mines in southern Poland.  All carved from salt, amazing.  This is part of the chapel where they still hold mass.  Poland is still in my mind,  a lot of hardship and  and sorrow.  It was a very memorable trip.
